The Riyadh First Health Cluster comes within the efforts of the Ministry of Health for institutional transformation to achieve the Kingdom's 2030 vision,whose map was drawn by His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him -. The health cluster works to create an integrated and interconnected network in order for the beneficiary to access the health service. The cluster plan lies in preserving the health of the individual, more than treating him. Here lies the importance of developing primary care centers, and developing services close to the beneficiary.

Dr. Ahmed Al Enizi is the Chief Executive Officer of King Saud Medical City. A Pediatrics Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Consultant, Dr. Al Enizi is an accomplished physician who is KSMC’s homegrown leader. In his role as CEO, Dr. Al Enizi will steer KSMC in leading the healthcare transformation and to become a model in patient’s experience, center of excellence and effectiveness in the kingdom.
Prior to his appointment as CEO, Dr. Ahmed held the position of Director of Children’s Hospital at King Saud Medical City in 2016. During his tenure of management, Children’s Hospital continued to rise to new heights with its expansion in various subspecialties in fellowship and training programs.
Salmiyah Health Center
King Saud Medical City was established during the era of King Saud Bin Abdul A ziz in 8/4/ 1376 H (November 11, 1956) that sits on 12 hectares of the land area situated in Al Shumeisy, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It was first named as King Saud the First Hospital, a revolutionary idea from a visionary man. Later on, it became Riyadh Central Hospital, then Riyadh Medical Complex. In November 2010, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, issued directives of approval to change the name of King Saud Medical Complex to King Saud Medical City (KSMC). However, King Saud Medical City is still affectionately known as "Shumaisy Hospital".
